Sites Farm
In 1970 John and Kitty Sites, and their young son, traded in their suburban lives, for homesteading in rural central Maine.
They purchased a 200 year old farmhouse with 60 acres of land, in the small town of Athens.
For many years, along with the help of their 4 children, extended family, and friends, they renovated the 1800’s farmhouse and restored the depleted lands surrounding them.
They ran a small, farm producing milk, butter, eggs, vegetables and of course, strawberries.
