Tammen Treeberry Farm

At Tammen Treeberry Farm, you may pick your own blueberries. We grow about 50 acres of blueberries.

On average, we begin picking blueberries around mid-July and pick for 3 or 4 weeks.

The date we begin varies a great deal depending on the weather.

Many families enjoy the tradition and adventure of searching out the perfect Christmas tree and cutting it down themselves.

It is a time to have fun together in the fresh country air.

Some families picnic in our wooded picnic area. We invite you to share good times together at Tammen Treeberry Farm.

You may choose and cut your own Christmas tree beginning the day after Thanksgiving.

Starting then, we will be open 7 days a week from 8 AM till 4:30 PM.

Tammen Treeberry Farm is one of the largest choose and cut Christmas tree farms in Illinois.

We grow about 160 acres of Christmas trees.

The largest share of the trees that we have growing here are Douglas-fir, Canaan fir, and Fraser fir.

No matter where you go to pick your fruits and vegetables, u-pick farms will all have different open times and seasonal times based on many different factors.

The actual business hours will vary based on the farm, where they are located and when their fruits and vegetables are ripe and ready for picking.

Weather is also a factor in both the seasonal openings/closings and business hours of a farm. Weather alone can affect when a crop will ripen or even if there will be a crop available this year.

Too much rain, not enough rain and not enough sun can also affect the timing of when Tammen Treeberry Farm will have a crop ready for u-pick.
